Summer Fan Program

For many in our community, especially seniors, young children, and those with underlying health conditions, high temperatures can be more than just uncomfortable—they can be life-threatening.

Every Summer VAC partners with Lowe's of Columbia to provide free box fans to individuals and families in need.

This year, VAC plans to distribute approximately 400 fans, and each unit costs $25—bringing our need to $10,000. That may sound big, but it’s completely achievable when we work together. Just 100 people donating $100 would fully fund this program. Or, consider giving what you can:

Fans are provided solely through community donations—either through financial gifts or by donating new or gently used fans. If you'd like to contribute a physical fan, you can bring it to VAC’s office Mon-Fri 9am-4pm.
