A letter from leadership.

Thank you for standing with VAC this year. Your generosity made a real difference for neighbors facing urgent needs, and we are deeply grateful for your continued belief in our mission.

In 2025, VAC provided 21,992 provision of basic needs items to individuals and families across Boone County — each one representing a moment when help arrived at exactly the right time. That impact was only possible because donors like you chose to act.

There were two moments this year that reminded us just how powerful your response can be when the need is urgent. When summer temperatures climbed into the triple digits, you answered our call without hesitation — helping us put fans into the hands of neighbors who had no other way to cool down. Later, when SNAP benefits were at risk of being reduced, you stepped forward again, providing funds and food to help fill the gap. Because of you, our food pantry has been stocked with protein and nourishing meals like never before.

Your support also made it possible to meet everyday needs that create long-term stability. For example, providing gas vouchers to help with transportation to work and medical appointments, help accessing prescriptions, and assistance in securing essential identification documents. These supports often mean the difference between a neighbor staying housed or slipping deeper into crisis.

With heartfelt gratitude,

$47,601
in gasoline vouchers helped people get to work, attend medical appointments, and stay connected.
$16,071
in assistance helped neighbors secure identification as the first step toward stability.
$17,381
in providing access to prescriptions and doctor visits when waiting just wasn't an option.

Your generosity turned crisis into stability.

When basic needs are met in the right moment, people stay housed, keep their
jobs, care for their families and move forward with dignity. Because of you, help was there when it mattered most. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community, one response at a time.
