Volunteers are instrumental in the success of this event.

In 2025, we had  371 volunteers who served 937.5 hours to help with the program. That translated to 1000+ hours donated to VAC that we would otherwise have to hire individuals to help.

Volunteers help collect gifts from sponsors' vehicles, organize, and pack the gifts for the families during collection days. Distribution days are just that, volunteers take the shopping carts full of gifts out to the families and help load their cars. This is often the most rewarding part of the program. The participants are so very grateful for the generosity of our community. 

This year's Holiday Program will take place at Broadway Christian Church (2601 W. Broadway, Columbia, MO 65203) December 7-12, 2026. Here's what this schedule looks like:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are sponsor drop-off days
  • Thursday is agency pick-up day
  • Friday and Saturday are participant pick-up days
