In an effort to provide information to agencies and other organizations, VAC publishes the Directory of Community Services for Boone County. The Directory of Community Services lists and describes hundreds of social service agencies and organizations that serve Boone County. Its purpose is to facilitate cooperation among organizations and provide improved services to clients.
Each organization’s directory description includes details such as its services, hours, fees, eligibility, intake procedures, and required documentation. An index at the back of the directory provides an easy way to search by specific client populations, problems, or services. In addition to agency descriptions, the directory includes separate sections for self-help, support, and advocacy groups; hotlines and helplines; and a list of the Boone County Public Schools.
This directory is available for $25 at the VAC office (or by mail) and serves as an indispensable resource for those involved in social services in the county.
