Holiday Sponsor Information

This program would not be possible without amazing sponsors like you!

For the 2020 program, our collection process may look a little different from previous years. We are asking sponsors to think about providing gift cards when possible this year. This option allows each family to choose what way is best for them to purchase food and gifts for their family, whether it be in person or online. This does NOT mean sponsors cannot purchase gifts.

There are many ways you can help this program. You can sponsor a family, volunteer for Collection and Distribution in December, or send a monetary donation labeled for VAC Holiday Families that we will use to provide gift vouchers for a family. We have families of all sizes, from one individual to ten or more, and we will do our best to accommodate any size request.

If your choice is to sponsor a family this year, below is what we ask from sponsors.

  • Provide at least one new gift per eligible family member (An eligible family member is any child 18 and under, adult with a disability, or adult age 65+)
We recommend $50-75 per eligible family member
  • VAC asks sponsors to provide food for every member of the family. VAC requests $15 per person. Sponsors can include gift cards from local grocery stores or Walmart, OR provide VAC with cash or a check made payable to “VAC.”
  • If a sponsor cannot shop or would like the family to shop for their own gifts, we ask to please notify VAC by November 20
All money and gift certificates must be turned in by November 25
If a sponsor decides on this option after November 20, they must bring their money and gift certificates to the church on their assigned
         drop-off date
  • Deliver gifts to our Holiday Distribution Center at Woodcrest Church in December along with a gift card or monetary donation for food. VAC will then write a voucher to be used at a grocery store.
