VAC works with the Columbia/Boone County Health Department and Parks and Recreation to provide lunches during the summer months to over 5,500 low-income children through Lunch in the Park. Between 11:30am and 1:00pm, children can enjoy a healthy lunch and participate in enrichment programs provided by groups such as Girl Scouts, TRYPS, the Central Missouri Humane Society and the Missouri Department of Conservation.

To volunteer a lunch hour or two of your time between mid-June and mid-August, contact VAC anytime after May 1.
