The Christmas Program is VACs largest single program. It provides families, elderly and disabled individuals with Christmas gifts and food for the holidays that they may not have otherwise had. In October each year, families and individuals that meet income and eligibility requirements register for this program. In November, these families are matched with organizations, offices, churches, schools, businesses, individuals and families who wish to sponsor them for Christmas by providing gifts and food for the holiday meal. During December, the gifts and food are collected and distributed to families. VAC coordinates the collection and distribution of food and gifts for 3,500-4,000 people each year.

To receive gifts, you must meet income and eligibility requirements and register during our sign-up period in October.

Christmas, my child, is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it's Christmas.
Dale Evans Rogers

To sponsor a family, contact VAC at 874-2273 beginning October 1. We will do our best to match you with the type of family you prefer. We ask that our sponsors provide at least one new gift for each child, elderly person, or disabled person and food for the entire family for Christmas.

To volunteer to assist with family sign-up in October, contact VAC anytime after September 1. To volunteer for gift distribution in December, contact VAC anytime after October 1.
