Support Voluntary Action Center and save! We're partnering with Columbia Mall to bring you exclusive savings from your favorite retailers - just in time for holiday shopping.
Here's how it works:
1) Visit the Giving Spree website, find your local mall and select the Voluntary Action Center
2) Make a secure online donation of at least $5.00 by November 14th. Each donation is 100% tax deductible and 100% of your donation benefits the Voluntary Action Center
3) Receive a list of exclusive offers from your favorite retailers that are only available on a special shopping day - November 15th at the Columbia Mall.
And there's more - at www.thegivingspree.com, you can get gift giving advice, sign up for an online holiday organization tool and even send hints to others about what you'd like to receive this year!

All individuals who wish to receive a coat or blanket must be present on the 18th and can receive one item per person. All items will be given out on a first come first served basis.

Instead of exchanging gifts with each other this Christmas season, consider pooling that money and sponsoring a needy family through VAC's 25th annual Christmas Program. This year VAC will match over 1200 low-income Boone County families and individuals with organizations, schools, businesses, families or individuals who wish to sponsor them for Christmas. The sponsor's role is to provide food for the holidays as well as one new gift per child, elderly or disabled individual. Sponsors will deliver their gifts to Trinity Presbyterian Church (VAC's Christmas Distribution Center) beginning on December 8.
Volunteers are also needed to help VAC with the collection and distribution of gifts in December. Two-hour shifts are available on December 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, and 18 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
