STUFF THE BUS with VAC at the Columbia Mall. A "school bus" created by students at Fairview Elementary School is currently sitting in the Target wing of the Columbia Mall, waiting to be filled with new school supplies for children in need. Everyone is encouraged to help equip local children with the tools they need to succeed in school! The bus will be at the mall until July 30, when all supplies will be prepared for distribution to area children at the Back-to-School Health Fair.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR on Saturday, August 2 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church (606 Ridgeway Ave). The fair will prepare children for the school year by offering vision, dental, asthma and health screenings; haircuts; school supplies; backpacks; and information on supportive services for families from local non-profit agencies. For more information about the fair, call VAC at 874-2273. The fair is sponsored by many local agencies and businesses, and the supplies will come from the Stuff the Bus program.
After the Health Fair, VAC will be assisting students who could not attend the fair with school supplies from our office. We are also currently providing vouchers for supplies through a program at Fairview Road Church of Christ. Please call VAC for information about additional school supply assistance.

Back-To-School
It's almost time for school again! Unfortunately for many families, this time of year often causes financial difficulties, as they try to equip their children with the supplies and clothing needed for the school year. VAC and other area agencies will be collecting supplies, and offering assistance to families with these necessary items.STUFF THE BUS with VAC at the Columbia Mall.
